1. Baking soda
Baking soda and its cleansing properties can do wonders for your teeth. Mix baking soda with water and rinse your mouth thoroughly after brushing with this paste. This method is pretty effective in removing tooth stains and whitening teeth.
2. Coconut oil
Coconut oil is one gamechanger when it comes to removing plaque and bacteria from the mouth. Take a spoonful of coconut oil and swish it around your mouth for a while or just brush your teeth with it for some minutes. Don’t swallow the oil and rinse afterward.
3. Lemon peel
Citrus fruits like lemon, orange contains citric acid that helps in whitening teeth. Gently rub the fruit peels on your teeth for some minutes and rinse and brush afterward. Be careful not to overdo it, as too much acidic content can erode and wear away your enamel.
4. Dos and Don’ts
- Consume fruits and vegetables that are high in water content and Vitamin C, they help cleanse your mouth from plaque and bacteria.
- Get plenty of calcium in your diet to strengthen your enamel.
- Avoid excessive coffee, tea, or red wine.
- Keep your fluoride consumption in check.
- Lastly, brush at least twice a day and maintain good oral hygiene for that dazzling smile.
