SPF Tricks No One Tells You

We’re in the presence of summer, accompanied by spending time outdoors and sunny but sometimes scorching weather. With more outdoor time, your skin encounters more UV exposure. And all this while you need to be more diligent about sun care.

SPF is as important in the winter as summer and we all know we should apply sunscreen even when indoors if you’re sitting near a window. There are a lot of ways to in a suncare lookbook, but here are some easy tricks you can follow if you’re in a hurry like us!

1. Savior Sunglasses.

A classic beauty tip that never gets old, grab your shades anytime you head out in the sun. Apart from keeping your eyes safe from harsh sunlight, they also prevent one common thing we do: squinting. Squinting repeatedly can cause fine lines and wrinkles over time because the eye area being pretty delicate and susceptible to the signs of aging.

2. How to blend SPF over makeup

Many of us go through this obstacle of figuring out how to reapply sunscreen over a full face of makeup! Compact powders often can’t provide the soft dewy look instead of the Matt cakey look. So here’s what you can do, apply your SPF on a dry microfiber beauty sponge and gently press the formula into the skin, over the makeup. Since SPF’s sole purpose is to protect cells from UV damage, it will still do its work even it’s sitting over makeup. Finally, blend the product with a powder brush and reapply anything you need to do.

3. 30 is the Magical number

The recommended number of SPF should start from 30, according to dermatologists. 30 has been clinically proven to be the sufficient amount that provides protection against sunlight. Since we often forget to reapply or just don’t wear enough sunscreen, starting out with a high SPF is always beneficial to ensure protection for the longest period of time.

Don’t forget to apply a lip balm with SPF. Lips need caring too!
